Formed from the ashes of Edinburgh-based punk-rock outfit, The Newtown Grunts, the dysfunctional rabble that make Joe Viterbo have been together since 2005, bringing to life one of Scotland's most energetic and eclectic music monsters.
With a wide range of influences, from straight-ahead punk though hard ska and the Captain Beefheart school of rock, the Viterbos have become a regular fixture on the thriving Scottish music scene, with appearances from low-key ska and punk nights around the country to more mainstream festivals as well as shared bills with like-minded friends Esperanza and Bombskare.
Two brand new albums - "Too Old for the Disco" and "Jaked, Baked and On the Make" - are scheduled for release this year and the band continue to write, record and gig extensively.
