Wesley Harding / Bio

Wesley Harding are a Chicago based band who blend classic and modern rock, folk and blues to create their own unique harmonica-infused sound. Their influences are diverse and include Muddy Waters, Little Walter, The Doors and Wilco and the entire band shares a strong passion for the works of early Chicago blues artists. They began in the boiler room of lead singer Michael Alanis' house in Melrose Park, IL, where the band would jam in cramped quarters, developing their style. Shortly after arriving at ESU Records they released their debut album, the aptly named Boiler Room Sessions, which was a very strong start for a band with little previous time spent in the studio. The band has experience playing live, having played many local house parties and shows at Chicago venues such as Double Door, The Elbo Room, Bottom Lounge, Deja Vu, Penny Road Pub and others. Having spent the winter working on new material for their second album they are now seeking to continue building a strong following and playing out as often as possible.
