His name is Paul Van Horn Formerly Known As P-Smooth. He is 24 years old, He attended Central Washington University as a vocal performance major for three years, performing in choirs such as; Vocal Jazz, Mens Choir, Chorus Choir, Solo Performance and more. After 5 albums of writing about his hardships and downfalls, he reconnected with the lord in hope to be a leader and inspire the youth with the gospel through his music. As a young boy his father was a Youth Minister, but with an over bearing uptight church he was unable to reach the youth as he hoped. When given the option to go or not Paul rebelled and chose not to go, not because he didn't believe, he just became distracted by lust, drugs, popularity and violence.
Once he was an established artist in NW he began to get some real attention with his shows, tours with Spokane and Seattle artists, and opening up for the likes of Andre Nickatina, Mistah Fab and others from the West Coast. His Distraction became a way of life, straying away from family and friends.
He then woke up one morning from a vivid dream, something rocked him that night.. he woke up in a place he DID not want to be, filled with anger and resentment he managed to get to church again one Sunday. He broke down and apologized for being away for so long, and doing/acting/thinking such wrong.
He has dedicated his music from that day on to only write gospel based music, he almost instantly lost all respect and credibility catching a ton of criticism. But now he gives all glory and honor to god with his music, thanking him for the talent he was blessed with to reach out to the youth and young adults, so maybe at least a few wont have to go through what he did, and live a better life.
John 3:16: For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting.
