Joe Maraio was a co-founder & Lead guitarist/singer of the East Boston based quartet Stock VII (formed in 1996). The band (Anthony Albano, Steve Previte, Joey Lombardi, & Joe Maraio) gained a name for themselves on the Boston music scene in the late 90's after winning the (Now De-funked)WBCN Battle of the Bands. The band also scored 2nd at the WAAF battle in early 2000. In early 2009, Joe Maraio embarked on a solo project with co-producer/engineer, Boston rock legend, Jim Foster @ White Sight and Sound Studios( www.whitesightandsound.com ) in Framingham MA. The project, "Soul for Sale", consisted of Maraio playing 90% of the instruments on the album. The album is a 7 song journey, that explores not only Maraio's wide range of musical influences , but his ability to handle multiple instruments. Released on Whyte Trash MuSick in 2010.
