Off World is progressive rock band from Denton, Texas. Off World is comprised of three members: Devin Miller, Travis Emerick, and Marcus Schiebold. They began to develop their sound in Fort Worth, TX during the winter of 2009. They attribute their musical influences to the genres of progressive rock, jazz, funk, southern rock and fusion.
-Devin Miller grew up with a strong desire to play, and be surrounded by music; the first instrument he was interested in learning was the violin. Devin began playing guitar in 2003 and started writing music soon after. He was born in Fort Worth, TX and now lives in Denton, TX. Devin's musical influences range from artists like Tool to Stevie Wonder.
-Travis grew up in Fort Worth Tx, and began drumming at the age of eight. He met bassist Marcus Schiebold in high school due to a shared interest of jazz music and began playing with Devin Miller shortly after. His musical influence stems from artists like Steely Dan, Jimi Hendrix, Yes, Bill Evans, Little Feat, and Jethro Tull.
-Marcus grew up in a family that had a strong appreciation for music, and at the age of eleven began playing bass. After being introduced to the music of Jaco Pastorius, he quickly developed an interest in a wide variety of styles. Gigging throughout high school and into college, he has played with a diverse mix of bands, and brings that to the table when playing with Off World.
