Singer/songwriter Scott Clark describes the songs as a culmination of acoustic-folk rock with a twist of funk and jazz. He offers a fresh new sound, but stands on the giant influences of Tom Waits, Syd Barrett, Thelonious Monk, Jimi Hendrix, The Clash, Pink Floyd, The Beatles, Elliott Smith, Belle & Sebastian, and The Kinks. Whether it be playing in a coffeehouse, a bar, or any social function, he seeks to be honest in his own style.
He is also part of Something Fell...
Scott Clark is also an artist. His interest in painting began in the fall of 2010 using techniques with palette knives. The paintings are full of texture with the layering of various colors. He is self taught and is constantly experimenting with techniques found in books or from discussions with friends. His first exhibition of his paintings was in October 2011 at New Paltz COTA.
