Born in the Midwest, started playing Guitar at 9. Started playing with local bands at 13. Recorded two songs he wrote, in the Webb Pierce / Faron Young studio off music row at 15. Today he continues playing and writing and entertaining 100's of fans with a mix of 'Country, Classic Rock & Blues', while his catalog of original songs keeps growing. With 1200+ songs penned, and over 600 registered with BMI. In 1997, after years of playing on the road in North Dakota, South Dakota, Wyoming, Utah, New Mexico, Montana & Kodiak Island, Alaska; J.R. moved to Nashville to further persue his career. In the twelve years that followed he learned the In's & Out's of the Recording Studio, Producing Artists and Engineering, while becoming a seasoned Pro as a Studio Musician.
