Brooding, aggressive, haunting and beautiful; Orphan Bloom is surely one of the most electrifying and engaging bands you will experience: vivid lyrical imagery, powerful virtuosic instrumentation and soloing, jagged bluesy vocals, and tasteful mix of Eastern and Western scales and melodies.
Orphan Bloom released its debut album in summer 2010 to critical acclaim. The album won the Best Hard Rock/Punk album of the year at the 2011 Madison Area Music Awards, was rated among the top ten albums of 2010 by the Isthmus Magazine, was considered the best album of 2010 according to All Media Reviews, and has been rated highly by Progression Magazine along side bands like King Crimson and Jethro Tull.
Currently performing at various regional venues and drawing attention from press and radio stations, Orphan Bloom's exuberant live performances and exceptional musicianship consistently win over audiences wherever they travel.
Formed in Autumn 2008, Orphan Bloom has been compared to bands like Led Zeppelin, The Mars Volta, Tool, and other groups who feature electrifying live performances with exceptional musicianship while creating a sound greater than the sum of their individual parts. Influenced by genres as diverse as blues, heavy metal, jazz fusion, classical Indian and European music and acoustic fingerstyle, Orphan Bloom works to forge a style that is related to but distinct from the music they love.
