The Stillwater, Oklahoma based Flatland Travelers have blazed their own path around the country, spreading love and music since January 2009. Proving that Flatland has no boundaries, Chris Bell, Sam Naifeh, Ryan Linden, Patrick Bubert, Kyle Richardson, and Isaac Washam blur the lines between genres with shades of jazz, funk, blues, folk, reggae and everything else in between. Featuring a revolving door of guest musicians and friends, Flatland shows no fear delving into the realm of improvisation. Their 2010 schedule contained over 175 dates, as well as festival appearances at Wakarusa; freeTulsa!; River Jam Fest in Ft. Smith, AR; and Travis Linville’s Illinois River Jam in Tahlequah, OK. They also shared the stage with several national acts including: Bassnectar, Big Gigantic, Big Smith, Dirtfoot, Ivan Neville’s Dumpstaphunk, EOTO, Greensky Bluegrass, Hosty Duo, Jonathan Tyler and the Northern Lights, Corey Morrow, Mountain Sprout, Papa Mali featuring Bernie Warrell, Red Dirt Rangers, Splitlip Rayfield, Stoney Larue, That One Guy. 2011 will see Flatland Travelers ascend to higher heights as they progress through the ranks of the festival circuit.
