Guthrie is a five member band based in Greenville, South Carolina. The band formed in the fall of 06' when singer/songwriter, Noah Guthrie and his brother Ian Guthrie got together with guitarist Zach Wells and bassist Alex Hunnicutt. Guthrie has recently taken on a new member to the band, guitarist Robin Hunt. Robin is a long time friend of the Guthrie brothers and has shared the stage with them on numerous occasions. The band has played with big touring acts such as Jackson Waters, The Advice, and Reilly.

Stuck On The Highway was recorded at BoyDog Studios, a recording studio owned and operated by drummer Ian Guthrie. Over the course of a year, Guthrie locked themselves in the studio until they were satisfied with the final cut of the album. Stuck On The Highway had a couple of special guest artists on the track "The Walk", that included singer/songwriter Caitlin Almond and Marshall Tucker Band guitarist, Rusty Milner. Milner is considered family in the eyes of Guthrie and is very thankful for his contribution to the making of the album. Finally, at Milestones Church in Spartanburg, South Carolina, Guthrie released Stuck On The Highway with the help of supporting acts, Ben Patat of The Lillies and Sparrows, UforUniverse, and Caitlin Almond.
