Kat Zolita Mason is a "sub rosa piano girl"
Her songs tell true stories from the undergrowth.
Her first C.D. (but second recording), was recorded when she was 16 years old is available now. Called THE WITCHES, it comes with a 28 page booklet of lyrics and was recorded by people from the The University of Canterbury. Signed copies are available from here. It has a theme based on "Commedia Dell Arte", and tells a story and is done as a story about the masks people wear as a play in three acts.

This CD celebrates the theme of sacred feminine and fuses sex and sacredness together.
-She plays piano and sings at the same time, often howling like a banshee or like a selkie fancying a return to the wild waves of the sea .
She lives in the green New Zealand hills high up, where she plays on her grandmothers old upright piano while wearing wearing supernatural green lipstick and black nail-varnish with a long evening dress and a skull scarf with something probably incongruous like a punk dog collar.
She is also a writer and used to work as an actor, specialising in Shakespeare. She is particularly interested in the themes in "A Midsummer Nights Dream" and "The Tempest" performed in hundreds of plays and some short experimental films..She also worked as an actor at "The Court Theatre" in Christchurch and has been acting in and directing plays since she was a child at Cashmere Primary called then - Kate Blumsky. She has a new CD written which is more rhythm-based, and she just needs to record the mix tape of this for a recording studio to be ready to fly into the .......................
