Marc Ganancias went solo in early 2003, and moved primarily to acoustic around late 2005, with a focus on writing, recording, and playing solo shows. The music is heavily influenced by early Punk & Hardcore bands, along with some Folk & Americana influence...
The first solo album was a s/t release in 2003 under the Occam's Razor name, and included influences from mid/late-80s Husker Du, late-80s/early-90s Bad Religion and Doughboys.
Marc spent time playing with a few other bands in various states (FL, D.C., VA, MD) during the interim years (2003 - 2007) of the first album's release, then embarked on a self-financed U.S. tour in 2008.
The latest album, "Painted Walls" (2010), is completely acoustic - a full-instrumentation hybrid of Punk energy & tempo with an organic nature. It is a stripped-down acoustic album, but still fast & pissed off. Tracking for the album (also self-financed) began in 2008, immediately following the tour, and was finally released in February 2010. It features guest performances from Dave Smalley (Dag Nasty, Down By Law, DYS), Sam Williams (Down By Law, Pseudo Heroes, The Spears, Denial Fiend), Todd Grow (Reno Divorce), and Mark Thornton (The Disease). All other instruments and vocals were done by Ganancias.
Tracking for a new album, which will have both electric & acoustic elements, is underway with a Fall 2012 release.
No label, no corporate influence, and no catering to the watered-down bullshit of the status quo. Totally D.I.Y., the core value of Punk Rock.
