Larry Velez / Bio

Born and raised in Dallas, TX., playing professionally since the age of 13, Larry Velez was inspired by his late Father,(professional Drummer), Larry Velez Sr..
Take Carlos Santana, Eric Johnson, and Stevie Ray Vaughn, to name a few, and you get Larry Velez.
Larry has played with artists, such as, Brian Auger, Stevie Ray Vaughn, Neil Zaza, and Charlie Daniels, just to name a few. In 83, Larry co-wrote the music to the song, Badstreet U.S.A., which was the entrance theme song used by wrestler, Michael Hayes and the Freebirds. A video was done on this song, which was aired on MTV. In 1985, it won the Buddy Holly award, and it beat ZZ Top's "Leg's". You can see Larry in this video on youtube.com
