Lacey Mason just got off of the road after a year and half as the captain of Taylor Swift’s dancers for her wildly popular Fearless tour. Since Mason won ABC’s Dance War, the popular spin-off to the ratings bonanza Dancing With The Stars in the Fall of 2008, her career explosion has been non-stop. Chosen out of thousands of singer-dancers nationwide to compete on the show, Mason quickly emerged as a front-runner. Team leader Bruno Tonoli picked Mason as his first choice when he chose team members for his group that would ultimately defeat Carrie Ann Inaba’s team in the 7-week competition. Throughout the competition, Tonoli featured Mason’s stellar vocal talent and dancing skills in the intricate dance/sing numbers they prepared for the show. After winning the competition, the 4-person group disbanded in part due to the fact that it was obvious to producers that Mason was a star in her own right. Her career has not slowed down one bit; she immediately began working with Nashville based production group. While recording she went on the road with Swift.
Before the show, she was selected as one of the dancers in her first feature film “The Marc Pease Experience” with Ben Stiller where she worked with choreographer Zach Woodlee who serves as the primary choreographer for the Fox hit Glee. Mason has also served as a choreographer herself for emerging artists like 3D and pop/gospel artist Cali. She has performed for BET at The GMA Gospel Showcase 2006 in Tennessee and “The Live In Atlanta” Gospel TV show, as well as the obvious "Dancewar Bruno vs Carrie Ann" on ABC. The 22-year old has dedicated her life and career to God and credits him with all the success that she has achieved. Lacey has recently returned home from New York after dancing on the 2011 Big Time Rush tour featuring Hot Chelle Rae. Lacey's success is even bigger now that her music has been featured on a few of tvs most sought after shows, which include: The Bad Girls' Club, Kourtney and Kim: Trip To New York (The Kardashian show), and Disney's popular Princess Movie: Another Cinderella Story featuring Hollywood Records singing sensation Selena Gomez whom Mason had the pleasure of meeting while she was on tour with Taylor Swift. Lacey hopes to one day get signed to a major record label and to pick the brain of LA Reid who is, in her eyes, a musical iconic legend, whom she looks up to. Mason also hopes to one day work with Eminem with the idea to create a substance piece to positively effect everyone. She also has collaboration plans for others artists.
