The Insurgency / Bio

The Insurgency is a political activist rock band dedicated to peace and non-violence. Founded by singer/songwriter Greg Panzica, The Insurgency performs shows to raise money for charitiable causes that help people in need, environmental groups protecting our planet, and activist organizations seeking to create awareness about the atrocities committed by our current leadership, including the neoconservative controlled corporate media empire. Its gritty rock sound with influences from, among others, The Clash, The White Stripes, and Neil Young, brings together a wide range of people from all ages and groups. And its fan base is growing. From local fans in the Detroit area to diverse places such as Argentina and Serbia, people are resonating with the message The Insurgency delivers. Local radio stations in Michigan as well as stations as far away as Germany have played several of their songs.
