I'm one of 15 children, 11 sisters and 3 brother's.I was born in Detroit, Michigan-
motown usa.Music has been such a big part of my life for as long as I can remember. My mother was such a country music fan that we couldn't keep from hearing music. She played it from the time she woke up til she went to bed.I grew up listening to people like Loretta Lynn,Conway Twitty,Hank Williams,Hank Snow...etc.But my sister's and brother's were listening to rock-n-roll like Elvis,Fats Domino,Ricky Nelson,The Drifters....etc.I loved them all.I began singing and dancin' to all of them, both country and rock but really got into Elvis...lol.I would stand in front of the mirror and practice singing into my hairbrush microphone and shakin'...lol.At the ripe ol' age of 5 I won my first singing contest as an Elvis impersonator...lol.Then my brother bought me my first instrument, my drums.I practiced my butt off and my mother hated him for it but I became pretty good and then at 13 I started to play the piano,14 the guitar and then I decided to play the bass guitar and totally fell in love with it.I haven't played anything else since 1976.I have filled in on drums now and then for other bands when they needed a drummer but that's it.I started really getting into performing,I love singing on stage and when I heard the applause it was such a rush...lol.I am now a member of ASCAP,TIMA(Texas International Music Assoc.),& ICMA(International Country Music Assoc.)
I still sing and perform but i'm really into songwriting. This is my dream, to make it as a songwriter. To hear a big name star sing a song I wrote would be the ultimate thing for me,so I pursue it exhaustively.I am now being played on the radio and have met some pretty great people along the way.I will continue to write until i'm no longer here
and hope that one day it will all pay off.As long as I can make someone smile, cry, or bring back some great memorie's with my music, then it's all been worth it.
