Ted Allen began his musical journey with such artists as the Beatles, Billy Joel, Elvis Costello, Sting, Paul Simon, Squeeze, Prince, Michael Penn, Bob Dylan, and the Eagles. He wrote his first song at seventeen, starting with pop and later branching out into rock and country. He now counts among his influences Train, Ben Folds, Sara Bareilles, John Mayer, Gabe Dixon, Keane, Foster The People, Gotye, and Jason Mraz.
Having played keyboards, guitar, and singing with a number of bands in and around NYC, Ted's primary focus remains on songwriting. He has performed his songs in such venues as CBGBs, The C-Note, & The Apocalypse Lounge in New York City, and Kennedy's, O’Donahue’s, & Liberty Café in New Jersey.
