New York City native Deirdres love of music and performing started as a child. At the age of five, she began her dance career with the Forth Worth Ballet Company after nailing the very first audition of her young life, and joining their production of Cinderella in both New York and Texas
She continued her dance training throughout her middle school years and up into high school at F.H.LaGuardia High School of Performing Arts, studying a wide range of styles including modern dance, jazz, tap, and ballet. Not content to limit her self-expression to just dance, Deirdre soon began studying voice with noted teacher Leigh Munro and Barbara Maier, all the while continuing to dance with the Joffrey Ballet and American Ballet Theatre in NYC (including Cinderella, Sleeping Beauty, Swan Lake, and The Nutcracker). Upon graduating high school, she was the recipient of the Jacque Ambrose Ballet Award and went on to perform principle roles for the Morgan Scott Ballet and The Lincoln Amphitheatre, including main characters in The Sound of Music, Fiddler on the Roof, and A Midsummer Nights Dream. From there, Deirdre attended New York University and studied Dance Choreography.
Soon after college, Deirdre’s love of dance and singing naturally led her to seek expression of her dual passions as a dance artist.
