_Nov/Dec 2014: The final cut is done, heading to Europe to mix the movie's sound design. Interview with European Independent Film Channel in Paris.
_September/October '14: recording the "Hungry" soundtrack; finalizing the cut. Performing at the OVFF in Los Angeles with MSF.
_June/July/August 2014: more filming of "Hungry", then going straight to post production; more european screenings of "Peixos".
_May 2014; filming "Hungry" in NYC; Attending opening night of "Peixos" at the Cinemes Girona in Barcelona.
_January 2014: In the studio, working on the next MSF studio album, as well as pre-production for various film projects, to be shot in the spring and summer 2014.
_December 2013: Commissioned to create a music video for KUMM's Eugen Nutescu's latest single "Panic".
Also: Jillie and I going to be in Salvador and Rio de Janeiro, scouting for locations and crew, etc., later in december, in pre-production for our new short film.
_November 8th, 2013: "Haze" (T.S.Vortex) receives airplay on WRIR 97.3 FM, Richmond, VA.
Lot's of screenings/events coming up:
_November 5th, 2013; back in Los Angeles for the MIFF 's Best 2013 (Milan) Awards Ceremony at the Consulate General of Italy, representing "La Redempcio Dels Peixos".
_October 13th, 2013; "Condor Jam" is voted "Best Music Video" at the Other Venice Film Festival.
_October 2013: Heading to Los Angeles to promote and screen "Condor Jam" at The Other Venice Film Festival, 10/12th, then jetting back to NYC to play opening night of CMJ Festival with MSF at The Bitter End (10/15th).
Then on 10/16th, NYC premiere of "...Peixos" with a special screening at the National Arts Club, Gramercy Park.
10/1st: finished soundtrack for upcoming short: "We Became The Enemy", directed by Armand Ruhlman and starring Jillie Simon, Melissa Murray-Mutch and Alex Emanuel among others, currently in post.
_September 2013: MSF's "So Many Ways" and my "Condor Jam" are in the running for Best Music Video at the Toronto Independent Film Festival, both screening 9/7th.
Also screening "La Redempcio Dels Peixos" at the Venice Film Meeting, Italy on 9/2nd. The feature is also showing at the 2013 Cambridge Film Festival, UK (9/21st) as part of the Camera Catalonia segment, more details TBA.
_August 2013: Cinema Libre Studios is releasing the documentary "Lucky Express", 8/25th on DVD, etc.

_May/June 2013: Got the masters back, now the record is heading to the plant....should be available in a month...meanwhile, check out the first cut and video: "Condor Jam".
Also: The documentary I co-produced and edited, about homeless children surviving on India's trains "Lucky Express", is being distributed by Cinema Libre (Los Angeles) and will be available on Netflix, Hulu, etc, by the beginning of the summer.
_May 2013: Yes! Thomas SImon Vortex is finished and currently being mastered by Howie Weinberg (Nirvana, Soundgarden, Garbage, Bjork...)....then I'm heading to Milan, Italy for the 2013 MIFF awards ceremony and screening of "Redempcio Dels Peixos, on the 15th.
_April 2013: My soundtrack to "Redempcio Dels Peixos" landed a nomination for "Best Music in a Motion Picture" at the 2013 MIFF (Film Festival Internazionale Milano); www.miff.it.
also; MSF's "So Many Ways" music video was selected to screen at the 2013 London Independent Film Festival, screening 4/20th.
_Feb/March 2013: back in NYC from South America & Europe; decided to add two new tracks to Vortex, that I just recorded this time around in Brazil; record due for release in April; finishing "Condor Jam" music video; working on the sound design for "Redempcio Dels Peixos"; rehearsing with MSF for the show at The Bitter End (3/30/13);
_February 2013: more recording in Salvador, Brazil; then heading to the Berlin Independent Film Festival (screening MSF's "So Many Ways").
_January 2013: finalizing Vortex mixes, editing Condor Jam music video
_December 2012: "Vortex" is mixed...looking to master it after the holidays...release date: TBA
_November 2012: Released the new MSF album "Spread Some Love"; with the latest music video "So Many Ways" winning the Golden Reel Award at the Nevada Film Festival in Las Vegas.
_October 2012: Heading out to L.A. , screening MSF's latest music video at The Other Venice Film Festival (10/13)...then back to NYC to play CMJ Festival (10/18)...let's go.
_September 2012:
am in the final stages of mixing "Vortex".
also, editing "Condor Song" and am rehearsing with Musiciens Sans Frontiéres in anticipation to the "Spread Some Love" record release show at Williamsburg"s "Spike Hill" Thursday, November 1st, 2012.
_ August 2012:
filming additional footage for the music video "Condor Song" (Vortex) around Santarem, Para, Brazil. Previous locations have been Manaus and Juma Lake, Amazonia, Brazil.
_July 2012:
just finished composing a full length feature film score for
"La Redempcio Dels Peixos", starring Lluis Soler,
dir. Jordi Torrent (Spain/Italy), to be released in the fall 2012. check out samples right here.
new atmospheric / hypnotic album in the works; due to be released later in the fall 2012.
