Skinny Legs and All / Bio

Skinny Legs and All is a five piece Blues/Rock band from Asheville, North Carolina. Ages 16-21, this "next generation" of talented musicians deliver lip-smacking, dance-inspiring R&B music that takes you on a journey from a slow shuffle to booty grooving madness! Don't let their ages fool you, they are gifted performers receiving standing ovations wherever they play, whether it be a small club venue or a large outdoor festival, they leave the crowd on their feet asking for more!
Jesse’s voice has been likened to a combination of Aretha Franklin and Susan Tedeschi. Paul, our senior member, is “straight from the fridge…cool” on the keys and harp. David lays down hot licks on his cherry red Telecaster. Avi, our youngest cat, plays that thumpin’ bass like he’s been doin’ it since he was in the crib. Colin, our “lucky charm”, keeps it all together as the backbone of our rhythm section.

#1 Skinny Legs and All
Named for a Tom Robbins novel published well before anyone in this band was born, Skinny Legs and All seems at home with songs, sounds and ideas from a bygone era. Though the group is made of teens, they all perform with maturity beyond their years, with singer Jesse Barry belting out "The Thrill is Gone" like a young Janis Joplin.

#2 Best Blues/Jazz/Soul
