Formed in Late 2009, Aloha Radio has rapidly become known for their on stage energy and unique sound echoing Southern California's culture of surfing, originality, and passion. Much like the ocean they have grown up around, their sound is soothing and relaxing, yet at times, a pounding fury. Their music is a wave rolling in from the deep, always evolving and progressing. They blend the unmistakable sound of California's enduring early rock and roll with the modern soul of their lead singer, Lauren Mulderrig, making their songs catchy, clever, and subtly pop; keeping audiences returning again and again.
"Orange County is know for breeding an impressive line of seminal surf bands. Aloha Radio, however, have taken the genre into the 21st century....they’re adding to its glory by forging a new sound for a new generation." - Bernard Baur, Music Connection Magazine.
Only a year after Aloha Radio formed, they helped kickoff Orange County's biggest festival, Doheny Days. (2011). With over 350 shows under their belt, Aloha Radio is an internationally touring band with a ferocious drive to explore and take their music to new listeners. They have shared the bill with acts Ben Harper, Weezer, Donovan Frankenreiter, Ziggy Marley, Dick Dale, Lukas Nelson & Promise of the Real, Fortunate Youth, Neon Trees, G. Love and Special Sauce, Black Uhuru, Seedless and more. Following the band's well received first E.P.
