Ziggy Pockets was born in rural West Virginia, raised during a time when outlaw music was overtaking traditional country. His father played guitar, got drunk and sang songs to Ziggy since he was old enough to listen. In 1989 Ziggy’s Mom moved him to North Carolina where he was introduced to hip hop and the culture of the south. Influenced by artists like Waylon Jennings, N.W.A., 2 Pac, and Roger Allen Wade he developed a unique style that is his own. At a Ziggy Pockets show you never know what you may hear, a hard core rap song or a classic country ballad. Ziggy may be somewhere right now hoping he makes more than his bar tab for the night. See ya at the show!
