I Am Nation, the female-fronted, alternative-rock band, emerged from the depths of an unfinished basement in Kansas City and is now following in the footsteps of their influences, such as Jimmy Eat World, Taking Back Sunday, and Panic! At the Disco. The band has been widely acclaimed for their energetic performances which has drawn listeners toward their catchy choruses, punk beats, and meaningful lyrics. The, perhaps, most unique aspect of I Am Nation is their genuine connection to those who support them. “We don’t make fans. We make friends,” says the drummer, David Gonzales. Their debut EP, Liminality, produced by Kevin Gates (Never Shout Never, The Ready Set, Eat Me While I’m Hot, Romance on a Rocketship), is available on iTunes, and their new single, “I Never Used Training Wheels,” will be available, as well, on May 5th.
