Runaway Sun is a Texas rock quartet dripping with whiskey and blues. Brooklyn piano girl Diane Birch opened for them at Austin's SXSW 2009, and in 2011 PBS invited lead singer Andrew Karnavas to open for Trombone Shorty at SXSW 2011. On a recent Northeast American tour, Runaway Sun performed for the Live at Best Buy Union Square Concert Series and at Manhattan's famous Arlene's Grocery. Runaway Sun has opened for for the Heartless Bastards, Davy Knowles, and Matt & Kim. The band's debut LP, The Bridge, was recorded at Houston's legendary SugarHill Studios.
