The band was started by Chase Cavitt and Christian Guimont in 2005 In Maui, Hawaii. The bright and positive music has captured the minds and attention of audiences on a national scale due to Chase's collaborative efforts in working with his first major project: Product The Band, in addition to maintaining his status as a respected solo artist. Chase Cavitt is the creative mind, originator and has worked with a multitude of musicians in the search to keep Product The Band performing and touring; he has been selling his talents as a musician to hundreds of venues since the age of 15. The band consists of Steven Barger on Drums and vocals, Rex Costales on Bass and vocals and Chase Cavitt on Guitar and Vocals . The members have worked with Chase to create the best possible sound and a very exciting performance. The Band has sent thousands of personal e-mails to followers, expressing appreciation for supporting the music. The guys are passionate about their followers, which they call “Product Family.” They hope for every listener to connect to a song; “A listener may catch on to just one song, but that’s all that is necessary if it gives them the good feeling,“ says Chase.
Chase was born on July 27th, 1989 and was raised in Southern California. When given the opportunity to move to Hawaii at the age of fourteen, he could not have perceived the events there that would open the doors to his natural born talent in music. In the time he was on the islands, he was greatly influenced by the Island Reggae style. Chase incorporated rock, blues and experimented with many genres as he began creating the music that would become the core of Product The Band. He is working hand in hand with his sound engineer who is greatly respected in the music industry; they plan to produce multiple CD’s in different genres, to pursue more audiences.
While living in Hawaii Chase was blessed with an opportunity to train at Maui Media Labs, an educational studio setting Non Profit organization provided to kids by Willy Nelson and other Maui Residents, where he learned from the best through the ages of 15-18. At a young age he was leading his band as lead singer and guitarist, when asked how he felt about performing all the time, Chase spoke with a peace of mind saying, “I never felt away from home because the stage was my home.”
At the age of 16, Chase began performing with multiple artists; this was around the time when he began writing lyrics and composing songs that became some of Product The Band’s most popular songs. Time and time again people have contacted Chase, having been to one of his shows, expressing how his songs have been stuck in their head for weeks. After asking what he sounds like he responded, “I sound like me, nothing you’ve ever heard before, my music can not be defined under one Genre.” Every song Chase has composed has captivating hooks, embracing melodies, and deep moving bass lines that shake your musical soul.
After moving back to Southern California to pursue a career in music, more of Chase’s dreams started coming to life, as one opportunity lead to another. He has had the opportunity to work hand-in-hand with the Producer of Sublime, Dirty Heads (“Lay Me Down), and Sublime with Rome, Louis Richards. As well as Working with Lou Dog Product The Band has begun work on the new release with Wiley Miranda and Harrison Tattik of Thumpadelic Records. Wiley and Harrison are close friends to Product The Band, and also work with the band on Live performances providing perfect mixing and exciting dub effects.
