I have been performing professionally since I was 4. I started off singing four part harmony Barbershop...yes at the age of four. Then I moved on to become classically trained in Opera and Musical Theater.
It wasn't until after my freshman year of college as a Musical Theater student that I realized something just wasn't right. That summer I started to write my own music and suddenly everything clicked. I wasn't supposed to be some chorus girl in a kick line on Broadway. I was destined to sing, write and play in Rock, Funk, Blues bands...and that's exactly what I did.
I went to Chicago and attended Columbia College, specializing in Contemporary Vocal Performance and Musical Theater...just so I can teach someday when I can walk anymore, because that's the only way you're getting me off the stage, lol.
While in the Windy City I fronted Classic Rock groups, Blues Bands, Funk bands, Alternative Rock Bands, I tried my hand at a little bit of everything. All the while continuing to write and record my original music.
Now, I do have to admit I have a little bit of an advantage over some other musicians, music has been a way of life for me for as long as I can remember. Both of my parents are musicians, and on my mother's side, everyone in the family is a musician. It was always said that if I was born without a predisposition for music they'd pop me back in and let me cook longer (gross I know).
I hope I haven't rambled for too long and I hope you enjoy my song. If you do, please show me some love and vote for me. If not, then we part our separate ways with a respectable admiration for one another.
Keep the faith and never give up!!
