I am proud to call Texas home (born in Midland, raised in Bryan attended college in Denton) I moved to Oxford, England after college and eventually settled in Austin to pursue a career in songwriting. My musical story began as a child singing in choirs and in church. At 14 I asked my dad to teach me some chords on his cheap Washburn and soon I could put 3 chords together in rhythm and I've been writing songs ever since. After England I put down some roots down here in Austin where I began to perform weekly, write habitually & meet other songwriters. With the help of critically acclaimed producers Craig Ross (Patty Griffin, Spoon) and Robert Harrison (Cotton Mather, Future Clouds & Radar) I began to discover who I am as an artist and why it is that I do what I do. I love the process of writing, recording and releasing music because it is like a big puzzle and once the pieces click in to place it is like magic. Since arriving in Austin I have released several projects and received national recognition for my single "Try Again" (NPR, NBC) and I hope to create many more decades of thoughtful music that really matters and moves people.
