Since forming The Cash Creek Band in 2003, Kenny Kens has ben a force to be reckoned with in return country music back to it's roots. Blending Bluegrass, Rockabilly, and traditonal Honky Tonk he makes music fit for any type of roadhouse.
Not conforming to the latest craze of pop country, Kenny is bringing the music back home where it should be. He explains it like this: "I grew up watching my family pick and sing in rural Kentucky. All those songs about pain, heartache love, and loss. That music is as real to me as this chair I'm sitting in. Now, I'm almost ashamed to say I play country music. There's no feel and no substance to it nowadays. I want to make music people can relate to. Not retro, but my own music that honors the traditions of Haggard, Hank and George Jones."
Playing all over the Metro Detroit area in places such as Smalls, The Berkley Front, The Machine Shop, and local area festicals. Kenny Kens & The Cash Creek Bands blend of roots country music is bound to please even the most die hard country fan.
