Born in Long Beach, California and became engrossed with music by age 13 when The Beatles played the initial Ed Sullivan TV shows. Started song writing by the age of 15, both lyrics and music, and at age 19 was signed by legendary songwriter and producer, Dan Penn, as an artist and as a staff songwriter for his Beautiful Sounds recording studio and Dan Penn Music in Memphis, Tennessee. Worked alongside such music greats as Carl Wilson (Beach Boys), Blondie Chaplin, Ricky Fataar, Leon Russell, Freddie King, Don Nix, Spooner Oldham, Willis Alan Ramsey, B.J. Thomas, Joe Cocker & Mad Dogs & Englishmen, Booker T. Jones, Steve Cropper, Jay Spell, Rusty Kershaw, Duck Dunn, Vicki Lawrence, Cargoe, Freedom Street, and more. Got caught up in cover bands for a number of years, after 1983, and am now intent on recording my first dolo CD and concentrating on my original music and the original music of friends and fellow musicians.
