Richard Gilbert was born and raised in Fort Worth Texas. As a child he traveled with his family many times to the west and north western parts of the US. It is said this is where he got his need to travel and to write.
The first time he picked up a guitar was in 1969. His father bought him a 12 string Airline from Sears. He fell in love with the sound and practiced night and day on James Taylor, Elton John and Gordon Lightfoot tunes.
Fast forward 2004..after a long career and raising a family Richard decided to get serious about his music.

The words tell stories, a little about himself and a little about others in his life. Enough to get you listening and wondering if he wrote the song with you in mind
