Margot Lane is a pianist, violinist, singer and ambient film score composer.
She has performed many solo and group performances as a keyboardist, but is more known for her versatile live performances on the electric violin with pop, rock and punk bands.
Margot studied piano at Woodshed Music School in Buffalo NY, and privately with Jimmy Wozniak "The W", a hammond B3 blues legend.
In 2009, Margot started projects including fronting and writing in The Murderous Moppets; a band centered on mixing classic pop/rock with folk rock. This propelled a solo instrumental film score project called "The Lethean Files", which is now on Itunes, Amazon mp3, and Spotify as well as several other international distributors.
Since moving to LA, Margot has worked on independent film scores, became a keyboard technician for Sir Elton John, and performed live with some of the best musicians. This includes performing on the soundtrack for the movie "With Great Power: The Stan Lee Story", opening for Dave Lombardo's (Slayer)side band -Fantomas, performing on several music videos, playing consistently with The Fullerton College Orchestra, surf guitar legend Dick Dale, former American Idol contestant Amy Jean Davis, the Canadian punk/rock band- Liftoff, and has joined several talented bands from the US and Canada for national festivals including South By Southwest and Sunset Music Festival. All while taking part in a DVD/Television special from the Saigon Broadcasting Television Network for the DVD of "Hung Ca Su Viet"
This year she joined the phenomenal US sensation -Bella Electric Strings and is now writing on a debut piano rock EP with her band.
