Three extraordinary voices, two founding singer-songwriters, one singular vision: The Wailin' Jennys continue to evolve into far more than the melodious sum of their individual talents almost nine years after blowing in on a fresh acoustic breeze from Canada's mid-western heartland. Soprano Ruth Moody and mezzo Nicky Mehta are charter members who've anchored the Jennys since the first line-up formed in their Winnipeg hometown in 2002. The stunning Heather Masse is the critical third voice, an alto who fills out the chordal range of the group's vibrant three-part harmonies. Since joining the band in 2007, she has brought an exciting new dimension to the Jennys sound and the current lineup has inspired fans to affectionately dub the trio "Jennys 3.0." The Jennys have released three full-length albums - JUNO award-winning "40 Days" (2005), JUNO-nominated "Firecracker" (2007), and the recent "Live at The Mauch Chunk Opera House" (2009). They have performed at packed venues across North America and throughout the world, winning fans wherever they travel with their amazing musicianship and warm stage presence. Their new release, Live at The Mauch Opera House, captures the magic of their live performances with show-stopping harmonies and dynamic instrumental solos from all three Jennys.
