Indacoda Blue is a four-piece American band based out of Saugatuck, Michigan. Founded in 2006, the group currently features lead guitarist/vocalist Nick Otting, rhythm guitarist/vocalist Dayne Otto, bassist/vocalist Kevin Adamisin, and drummer Cory Mirto. The band's sound has a smooth modern rock sound with jazz and classic rock influence, harmonizing vocals, and earthy lyrical content. Influence is extracted from the feel-oriented music of the 60s and 70s as well as the rock and roll of today. Inspiration is found in bands such as the Guess Who, Chicago, Blood Sweat and Tears, Incubus and Red Hot Chili Peppers. The band has written and orchestrated over 75 songs providing an expansive and rich musical experience. Currently, Indacoda Blue is completing a top-quality three song demo with Robin Robyns of Bob Seger and the Silver Bullet Band and looks forward to an album recording in the near future.
The bands origination stems from a long string of musical collaborations with original members Otting, Mirto and Ben Arnold (former bassist) during the years 2001-2006. In the end of 2006 Otting took the year to volunteer in the reconstruction of New Orleans after Hurricane Katrina. During this time the musical skeleton for the current material was developed and upon returning home the band Indacoda Blue officially formed. The band began to refine their sound and playlists, preformed at gigs, festivals, and had the opportunity to record several songs. The musical talent of Indacoda Blue was recognized by Robin Robyns in 2009 and the production of a demo CD began. In September of 2010, Arnold bowed out of the band to pursue personal endeavors. To replace his spot, Kevin Adamisin of Detroit, Michigan made his entrance along with Indacoda Blue's sound technician, Dayne Otto, on the rhythm guitar.
