"The Universal Soundtrack-Changing the State of Rock!" This is the mantra of San Gabriel Valley-based indie band Evertheory. Singer Alicia Netti, Singer/Guitarist Sharon Prudencio, Keyboardist Aaron McMillan, Percussionist Paris Ramirez, and Bassist Tim Peterson make it a point to push the creative direction of the band forward with each new song. Each member of the band brings to the table a vast pool of inspiration and influences from rock, soul, folk, alternative classical music, video game music, metal, world music and jazz, and all of this comes together to become a fusion of styles that is melodramatic post-alternative. Singer Alicia brings a unique foundation of soaring vocals with a captivating soulful edge. Guitarist Sharon Prudencio uses theatrical riffs and intricate chord arrangements to create driving and memorable images in the music. The flowing, expressive beats of Paris form the pulse layer of the instrumentation and bring life to the rhythm layer of the music. The ambient keyboard and synthesizer work of Aaron create mood, atmosphere and a multidimensional layer to the sound. This is counter-balanced by the jazz-derived guitar-like strumming of Peterson on lead bass. Since forming in 2007, they have continued to make new music.
