(3 to 4 hour show)
Jim St. James is a performing / touring acoustic artist and songwriter originally from Gary, Indiana.
He is currently residing along the gulf coast, and plays gigs primarily between Florida and Mississippi with annual tours in the great lakes area and southwest portions of the US.
Currently, James is working on his sixth CD release, “Till the Wheels Fall Off,” which he plans to release this summer. His song, “Caroline”, formerly charted at #1 on the Roots Americana Charts.
Throughout his professional career which began in 1998, James has performed hundreds of shows and has shared the stage with countless acts here at home as well as in Canada and Europe. He's been a repeat performer at The Frank Brown Songwriters Festival and The National Shrimp Fest and has participated in multiple songwriter gatherings and various festivals in the Midwest and south.
Penning songs since the age of 15, James attributes his plunge into pursuing his music full time to his father, James Sr. and friends including, John Ross, Marcia Day, Jimmy Seals (Seals and Crofts) and Tony Arata...and full time is exactly what he does. Living on the road from show to show, city to city, he is the actual definition of a modern day troubadour!
His prolific lyrics, clear vocals and unorthodox guitar playing styles have been gaining him notoriety with fans, venues and festivals across the U.S. one show at a time.
