I first started writing songs at a very young age, when I wanted to be the first youngest contemporary Christian artist. I would arrange songs with my mother using bible texts, and then starting writing a few of my own lyrics. My childhood dream didn’t go farther than singing in churches, but I already started gaining interest in my own songs.
I never knew love thru my teenage years to adulthood, so I started writing a long of emotional lyrics about love & loneliness.
After meeting a friend in FL who helped me learn more about composing, I started to produce those songs I wrote. I started working on a pop album, and during that time, I met a girl I fell deeply in love with, despite a very rocky relationship.
After moving to Hollywood with that girl, we eventually broke up, and that fueled my darker side that I had been stifling. I wrote deeper, more emotional songs with a gothic twist. My pop style became deeply infused with an industrial electronica sound & influenced by the rock and gothic music I’ve loved over the years. I crafted my style to fuse the pop style I like, with the gothic emotions, thence calling it Gothicpop. I then realized that I should use a new genre label, so I call my musical style DarkFujin, which is a type of pop/rock, infused with a blend of dance, R&B, Gothic emotions & a teaspoon of world flavors.
My 1st official album release was Save Me, which had my best selling song, Dirty Little Minds. That song was a great description of Darkfujin, with its dark dance beat and gothic feel in singing and heavy sounds. I did many live performances to promote that album with my old dance team, The Death Pixies. Although the promotions were lacking funding for my first album, it sold fairly well.
After a few years, I started working on new music for the album INFINITY. Influenced heavily by my experiences with love in those years, I started writing many new songs about, love, passion and lust. That album was emotionally charged, as I had grown deeper in my feelings regarding love and loss.
This new album, The Death Of Me, I have been writing & composing as I travel on tour throughout Asia, working as a artist/performer on cruise ship. This album that tells a bit of how I was feeling at this point in my life. I had to leave my home for almost a year, which also meant I had to leave the love of my life. I was in love still with my ex back in America throughout the tour, so a lot of songs that were written, are inspired by the feelings invoked by that situation. The Death Of Me will be released later this year.
