Red Shaydez / Bio

Red Shaydez the Entertainer is an upcoming female hip-hop artist from Boston, Massachusetts. The multi-talented artist is an artist, songwriter, filmmaker, and former radio personality. The young musician was inspired by her father, a rapper formerly of the group Killin’ Field. (also from Boston, Massachusetts). The emcee began rapping at the tender age of seven but pursued it more seriously at the age of 16. Her content and ever-changing flow is what sets her apart from he counterparts. During her days as an online radio personality, she managed to gain notoriety amongst the online community by playing music from other striving independent artists and also was able to give some notable interviews. She even gained the interest of Hip Hop Pioneer, MC Lyte, who gave her a personal radio drop for her online radio show. Soon after that, she was featured on MC Lyte's first mixtape from her site HipHopSisters.com and often featured on the site’s playlist.

Throughout her high school days, she was part of an all female rap group called TMC – The Mic Controllers. Her witty rhymes and humble demeanor made her a crowd favorite.
In 2009, her independent conglomerate 369 Music Group was formed. This consists of aspiring artists, web designers, filmmakers, and much more. When it comes to creating her art, the conceptual artist says she is inspired by her everyday life experiences in which she tries to capture in her music. Red Shaydez says she makes music for the underdogs; she inspires those individuals who are going through obstacles in life. But also caters to the everyday “average” individual. Her music ranges from topics about the different struggles in life to partying on the weekend. She doesn’t like to be labeled as a certain kind of artist. Her creative control allows her to make whatever kind of music she feels within her soul.

Most recently, her music video to the single “Keep It Movin Movin” (which can be downloaded on her website: www.ChillinInTheShade.com), was just featured on the legendary SOURCE Magazine's website on TheSource.com.

She recently graduated FSU in Massachusetts with a B.S. in Film and Video and a minor in Sociology. She plans to further her career in both the film and music industry. Additional information can be found on her website, http://www.ChillinInTheShade.com. @RedShaydez1
