Amy Hermes began playing at the age of nine. She was classically trained throughout middle and high school. She began playing “fiddle” and joined her first country band at age twelve. That age is also when she began taking lessons from famous ‘Fiddlin’ Frenchie Burke.’ Since than, Amy has shared the stage with many great musicians in addition to Fiddlin Frenchie Burke, Johnny Gimble, Tony Pickins, Slim Roberts, Ace in the Hole Band, Bryan White, Jarrod Birmingham and many local country bands around San Antonio and the Hill Country Area. She has had the pleasure of opening up for great acts such as Joe Stampley, Moe Bandy, Los Lonely Boys, Cooder Graw, Roger Creager, Gary P. Nunn, Paula Nelson, Wade Bowen, Aarron Watson, Charlie Robinson, and many more!
