In the late 90's was when J Wildd born, that's when my fascination with music began to form. In the those days it was freestyling all night, until the sun came up. On the East Coast that's what the hip hop scene was back then, and anyone who grew up in that era should know exactly what I mean!
My latest digital release "A Real Woman" is now available through all digital music providers. We're also working on my next album, which is set to be released sometime this fall!
Now let me take you from the beginning of my music time to 2013.
It was when I released my first mixtape in 2006 things changed. I quickly found my flow when I realized the power I held in words, and as I matured so did my music. Which led me to release "Crunch Time".
"Crunch Time" was a unique project, which got a lot of great reviews. Every track was produced, and engineered by 4 time Juno nominee MCJ!!! It was the first time I manged to get my music on the radio, which gave me my first feeling of independent success! I performed three tracks off the album during "Music Nova Scotia Week" 2007, so overall to me the album was a success!
In 2011 we launched "The J Wildd Show Productions", and our first project "The Musical East Coast" was considered a success! The main goal we had for that project, was to get as many independent musicians as much exposure as we could! The Musical East Coast was totally free, and great exposure for up and coming musicians! The project was only scheduled to run a year, which it did.
We wanted to create a community for independent artist to get recognition, and we manged to do that effectively! Over the course of that year, we had the opportunity to promote at least 100 independent musicians from various places across the United States, and Canada!!! The Musical East Coast was a beautiful thing to be a part of, shout out to all the musicians that were part of what we did!
I also just completed "The J Wildd Show", which is a 24 minute and 34 seconds hip hop verse. I actually ended up turning "The J Wildd Show" track into a cartoon. "The J Wildd Show" cartoon, is a four part mini series. Check out the new album, "Too Hot To Chill" available on iTunes now!
