My Dad, Kenneth Jerry Rabuck, was a musician. I was raised in a house full of music gear. I could play drums as far back as I can remember. Wrote my first song lyrics at age 8. Took up guitar at age 12. I began multi-track recording with 2 boom boxes in my teens so Dad got me a 4 track cassette recorder.
Recorded an album with my Dad and 2 brothers in Hollywood CA. that was never released in 1990. Our family band broke up 2 years later.
Dad passed in 1996 and it took me 5 years to even pick up his guitar (the only one I had left) and start playing again.
In 2001 I stumbled onto Mp3.com. The mother of all indie music sites. I began buying more guitars and gear. The musicians I met online helped me with production tips. I did many online collaborations with people from all over the world.
I have been a stone mason for 25 years. It pays the bills and buys the guitar strings.
I may never make a single dime with my music and I don't care. All I know is that until they put me in the ground I will never stop writing or recording. I will not stop playing.
I will also never stop trying to help young and upcoming musicians try to realize their dreams in any way I can.
