When you think of Brazil, you think of beauty, beaches and music. Add one more item to the plate: love. Born 25 years ago in Rio de Janeiro, Michelle Paulino is the oldest of two singing daughters. Coming from a military family, Michelle was raised all over Brazil, allowing her love for people to increase as she got in touch with new cultures within her own. Early in life Michelle felt that touching people’s lives world-wide was her calling. Her career began at the age of 12 years old, when she was cast as the lead singer of an Easter cantata. Shortly thereafter, Michelle became a worship team leader in one of the biggest churches in Brazil, bringing music to life in a church of approximately 7 thousand members. Studying Advertising in of the top 5 universities in her country, Michelle designed her first logo to promote her worship band Arca Para as Nações. Practicing out of her garage on a military base, the band had very little resources to be known. Moving to the U.S. in 2007 without never being in the country before, a career in music seemed to be a very difficult dream to reach. With a few tracks donated by producer Douglas Rogers, Michelle posted her home recorded songs on Myspace. Growing up around the sounds of Whitney Houston, Simply Red, Jon Secada and Hillsong, Michelle Paulino found an uinique voice tone. Contacted by Delbert Harris, CEO of Javo Records, Michelle’s dream had started. She would become the first Pop/R&B recording artist for the label. With only am EP promoted locally, Michelle attracted audiences far and wide as her very first single Spring Time made it to the Christian and secular radio stations nationwide, to radios in Trinidad & Tobago snd in the UK in less than a month of its release. With her debut album "In The Making" coming up in 2012, Michelle Paulino hopes to reach the hearts of the people who need Jesus Christ and hope.
