California’s Ventura County is lucky to have singer-songwriter Rachel Sedacca call it home. Her country/blues songs and folksy ballads are full of stories from her time on the road. Rachel’s repertoire includes her Americana flavored originals, as well as some favorites that she says,“need to be sung”. Having been compared to Lucinda Williams, Bonnie Raitt and Janis, Rachel points to the years of Grateful Dead shows steeping her in an eclectic musical tea, appreciation for the fusing of genres and the ways of the road. Making home away from home in her 1971 converted school bus “Patience”, it’s complete with kitchen, restroom and her comfortable mattress from home. “This is what keeps my feet on the ground”, she says.
