In a small terraced house in the small mining town of Westhoughton in deepest Lancashire, a group of new friends began meeting through a shared love of the same music and the new indie-rock revival in 2005.
As all night parties turned into all night jam sessions, the group of friends who were always in attendance called themselves 'Our Fold'. It was their world, with their fold of friends. After a few ramshackle home demo's, the beginnings of something special was becoming coherent. The band moved into drummer Ryan's garage and started to rehearse regularly.
The band's first local shows were a storming mix of energy, passion, stage invasions and great songs which they still deliver today. After the buzz spread through word of mouth, the band sealed professional management and began to receive high profile support slots such as The Prodigy, Kasabian, The Coral, Florence & The Machine, The Fratellis and The Enemy just to name a few.
They also won slots on the biggest festivals, catching BBC Introducing's eye for both the Reading and Leeds Festivals, as well as appearances at the Isle of Wight Festival, Glastonbury, Latitude, Bestival, Kendal Calling & Electric Picnic.
After a few lead guitarist changes, the band currently feel at their strongest and the debut album is well on it's way. The band have been described as the perfect blend of Alternative & Indie/Rock which reflects perfectly the band's main influences (Nirvana, Sonic Youth, James, Stone Roses to name a few!).
Armed with perfectly crafted songs tinged with angst, raw energy and unmistakable hooks, it can only be a matter of time before the world sits up and listens. And they'll open their arms to you....
