You might find the music herein to be lacking a few key elements usually found in musical compositions and production (bass perhaps, drums in all cases, lead guitar, musical taste, coherency, etc...) subsequently, the pieces may sound a little odd, but, hopefully in an enjoyable way.
Should you choose to take an aural glimpse into Dr. Porky, you will be subjected to an odd trio of rich rhythmic horn parts, thick vocal harmonies and layered acoustic guitar. You may find the quality of said recordings to be lacking, however, I am unable offer up apologies for that, as I am learning more and more about recording with every take. For me this is, quite literally, a learning process that I would like to share. I am quite happy with the progress currently being made on these, however, I post them with full knowledge that they still have a long way to go to even brush anywhere near the level of 'awesome' I wish to attain through this learning process.
You will find eleven songs here. Some of the songs are relatively new, some are from my first stabs at writing music 13ish years ago, all of them are true stories (or at least have true stories wrapped within them).
I am now entering into uncharted territory as a wannabee solo artist. That will probably never fly on the level of playing shows anytime soon. Playing sax, guitar, bass and singing 4 different parts all at the same time could cause one to blow out his o-ring (not something I'm particularly fond of). So, until I find some more people to play with, I am stuck with this as my performance medium... Enjoy!
