Trio Three-Eighty is an instrumental ensemble with a very diverse and eclectic repertoire spanning decades. What makes the group unique is their onstage energy and arrangements of songs from such artists and composers as Cole Porter, Sinatra and the Beatles, to Sting, Jason Mraz and Andrew Lloyd-Webber. Trio Three-Eighty's enduring appeal has been that its music reaches across a very wide audience consisting of all ages. This is what has made Trio Three-Eighty the premier group for top valley corporate and company events and receptions, as well as an enduring favorite performing for years at Nordstrom Fashion Square and Casino Arizona. Although the core ensemble is the trio, on occasion - in performances Valley-wide - additional instruments (guitar, percussion, saxophone, or vocalist) augment the group.
Trio Three-Eighty recorded two nationally released CDs for the Pure & Simple Music record label, Invitation to Dance and A Black & White Affair. Carol Wright of Barnes & Noble.com wrote in her review of the latter, "With playing as good-humored and engaging as this, I'd go hear Palalay and friends play anytime."
In addition to being a pianist and keyboardist with many years experience performing in a wide range of musical contexts: from solo pianist to duos, trios and quartets, as well as much larger ensembles in concerts and shows--where in addition to his keyboard work he served as musical director, Trio Three-Eighty's founder Richard Palalay, is an accomplished arranger and composer. A long-time BMI composer, Richard's songs have appeared on ABC and NBC network television, PBS, HBO, Muzak and DISH Music Services, as well as national and international radio and television (Australia, Canada, Croatia, Germany, Singapore, South Korea and Switzerland). He has also written the theme song for a Phoenix, Arizona-based television show that ran for three seasons, and more recently, completed work on the soundtrack of two independent films--one of which is called "The Last Dance" and is scheduled for release in August 2012.
