Blending elements of rock, funk & blues, with a tinge of country, NYC-based Lady J has a sound all her own. Hell-bent on keeping rock & roll alive, many have described her as a modern, female Mick Jagger. Some have compared her to Sheryl Crow, but with the Black Crowes as a backing band.
In between writing and recording the follow up to their wildly successful debut album "Whatcha Say," Lady J and band had the honor to perform at both the 2011 and 2012 Sundance Film Festivals in Park City, UT, as well as unleashing brand new songs in back to back shows in late 2012 at NYC's Shrine World Music Venue and Lower East Side's Delancey, both places a dream to play for any musician. Lady J has also been a household name at NYC's infamous Kenny's Castaways at several amazingly reviewed and packed shows.
Previously in June 2009, Lady J's song "Jump" was chosen by the editors of Indie-Music.com as their #1 choice pick of the month, where the song went on to remain #1 for 6 consecutive months.
There's no stopping the express train that is Lady J. Now is the perfect time for a band like this to rise to the occasion.
