"So what if I'm shy." That is the mantra that Chicago pop singer Jana G. adheres to. In an age where more artists are gaining recognition for their ability to shock than sing, Jana G. tells it like it is. She's an accomplished songwriter who stands by her convictions.
Influenced by grunge and pop punk bands as a teenager, Jana learned how to play the electric guitar and joined her first band. She began singing and writing songs in order to assert herself. In college, she eagerly learned the keyboard, as well as how to program MIDI instrument. She recorded her first album as "Jana G." Shortly after, she wrote the song "Sleepin'" and was introduced to producer, Vince Lawrence. This launched her first EP, "I Am Jana."
"I Am Jana," produced by Slang Music Group, was released January 2, 2012. It showcased her pure vocal strength, emotional vulnerability, and sassy songwriting. Jana G. attracted an international fan base on social media sites. "Just Don't" and "Make Me" were licensed to TV shows, and music videos were made for "Sleepin'" and "Open Up."
Jana G. released the title track of her new EP “Mixed Signals” August 13, 2013. "Mixed Signals" achieves a raw pop sound, and fans received it positively. 2014 began with the release of “Mixed Signals” 4-song EP.
