Billboard Discoveries says of Courtney Yovich, she is "one of those kids whose musical prowess started shining through before her permanent teeth did!" Just 17, Courtney is a singer/songwriter from Bozeman, Montana who has already won several songwriting awards (the first at age 8), including a Top 20 finish in last year's CMT/NSAI Song Contest. I Am Entertainment Magazine says Courtney is an "awesome singer" with a "really mature voice" and says of Courtney's debut album, Waiting To Be Told, "If she keeps this up, she'll be one of the most successful music artists in the business."
Courtney has performed at the Pensacola Beach Songwriter's Festival for three consecutive years (2011/12/13), as well as the Frank Brown International Songwriter's Festival in 2012 and 2013. Additionally, she won a coveted spot at the 2010 Country Throwdown's Bluebird Stage in Salt Lake City. Courtney's recent debut at Nashville's' world-famous Bluebird Cafe sold out in just a few hours. Since then, she has played two more shows there, and will perform at the Bluebird again in December 2013. In 2011, Courtney was elected to the membership of the NSAI's Gap Group of top songwriters.
Her first recording project has been completed with productions ranging from infectious, dance club pop to straight-up jazz, Previously, she has recorded three original songs in Nashville, produced by Kent Wells (Dolly Parton). "'Happy to Be Here" is the obvious manifesto for her burgeoning talent, a bouncy, country/pop ditty that demonstrates a prowess for nuance beyond Yovich's young years. Equally effective are lovely power ballad 'On the Edge of Falling,' showcasing a vocal tour de force that could rally an audience to its feet." -- Billboard Discoveries. Currently, Courtney is performing with her Nashville-based jazz trio Asteria Lux, who are preparing to release their debut EP.
