JACKSON was formed in 2007 when Troy Jackson left the band Black Sea Burial (BSB). The project started as a vehicle to record and perform the songs he had written outside of his role in BSB. Since forming, the band has had the opportunity to open for Pop Evil, HURT, Cinder Road, Neverset, Sugar Red Drive, Papercut Massacre and performed those shows with many talented local acts in Southern Michigan. The original lineup of the band included John Ramon, Travis Britanyak and Ted Keaton from the band Victor Spoils. The new lineup, formed in 2010 still includes Troy and Ted along with Josh Snyder and Ash Lawrence from the band XGR.
2011 brings exciting new events for JACKSON. They are currently in the studio recording their mix of energetic rock songs – sounding somewhere between Nickelback and Sevendust. The full length cd, tentatively titled “Night and Day”, will include the energetic full band productions as well as a mix of piano and acoustic tracks. The band will release a 3 song cd in March 2011 offering a preview of 3 tracks off “Night and Day”
