Rovetti & Meatballs is a well-known band from Sonoma County. Since 2006, they have entertained audiences across Sonoma County and beyond with their tireless energy and amazing ability to rock people of all ages. Chris Rovetti (Lead Vocals, Violin/Fiddle, Mandolin), picked up the fiddle at the tender age of 4, and has performed original music live on local radio stations (ie. KTRY 106.3, KRSH 95.9, KSRO 1210. In recent years, Chris has enjoyed extensive radio play and also sold out venues such as the Fillmore, the Great American Music Hall (San Francisco), main stages at festivals like Hardly Strictly Bluegrass (four years in a row), Telluride Music Festival, the Strawberry Music Festival, even opening for The Eagles at Angels Camp. Chris is a member of the Heritage Music Theatre, performing as an actor and musician in plays about Country greats (such as Hank Williams and Patsy Cline) for sold out crowds. His command of melodic instruments and dynamic stage presence pleases seasoned musicians, and keeps fans coming back for more.
Gary Bauman (Electric Guitar, Vocals) began playing guitar at 9 years old. Influenced early by the surf music of Dick Dale, The Ventures, and The Beach Boys, it was while working in Lee Oskar’s band that Gary discovered his passion for the Blues. A versatile player with a long list of Bay Area bands including The Ghost Riders and Jeb Brady’s Band, Gary’s masterful style adds depth, while his sweet guitar licks and soulful vocals take Rovetti & Meatballs for a walk on the wild side.
Eva Maass (Bass, Vocals), who began studying music as a classical flutist at age 9, is a mezzo-soprano trained in the art of bel canto singing, and has sung professionally in a wide variety of vocal groups from the Morningstar Quartet to the San Francisco Symphony Chorus. Raised on Punk, Metal, Art Rock, Soul and Funk, her love of music with an electric edge led Eva to start playing bass in 2002. Uniting these diverse influences Eva grooves the bass while bringing her sultry vocals to Rovetti & Meatballs.
Paul Spina (Drums) is a consummate drummer, proficient in Jazz, Fusion, Reggae, and Rock styles. He has played extensively throughout the Bay Area in popular bands such as; Mason-Lane, Cannonball, Sol Horizon, and until recently was the touring drummer with Groundation. Paul completes the Rovetti & Meatballs line-up, proving that they are a band like no other, an incendiary musical force to be reckoned with!
